    Default Green Iguana

Photographed along the Pixiam River in the Pantanal, from a small boat. I don't know anything about reptiles but this looks like a Green Iguana from Google pictures. Our guide had amazing eyes and would point out birds and lizards and snakes and then get us in the best possible position for photography. A guide like this is a gem! Plus we had lots of fun.

    C & C most welcome.

Hi Nancy - I like the way this pops from the dark bg and the diagonal with the tail almost into the llc. Dof works well too. Colors look good to me too.

Great contrast between the iguana and the leaves Nancy.
    I like the erect pose.
I have no idea what colour these iguanas are supposed to be but the leaves look right so I guess the iguana is too.

Nice job Nancy, looks a little oversharpened too me but if others are not noticing it forget my comment. I knew this one was not from 8000 feet in CO

Lovely image, really like this. loads of detail where its needed and the image pops nicely due to the dark bg. Did you perhaps play a little with a larger DOF to get the tail in focus as well, not a biggie that is not in this image, just would be interesting to see if it would still work.

Nancy, I really like this, especially how it POPS and how the textures of the leafy BG and the iguana complement each other.

Great shapes and textures and nice colours. Would also like the tail to be in focus, but then you'd have more conflict between the iguana and the leafy background so think you judged correctly.

Thank you all! I agree tail in focus would have been nice. But these iguanas don't pose as you try different settings .
