    These are called Brent here in the UK & Europe, & Brant in the US, taken in my local Harbour.

    Canon 400mm 5.6
    f/7.1, (1/200o)
    ISO 400
    WB - Auto
    Manual Exposure
    Hand Held.

    Very nice exposure, wing position and details. Love the wispy clouds in the sky. I'd move the bird further down in the frame, but comp is always a subjective thing. Very nicely done.

    This is a very pleasing image. I like the cloud in the back which adds a lot of interest. The pose and catch light are nice. I agree on moving the bird down.

    What's not to like? Tack sharp and the wispy clouds with a hint of pink really add a lovely dimension to the image.
    The water droplets and the slight angulation of the head and body towards the viewer are nice.
    Exposure is perfect and the blacks look good. I am OK with this comp but could see a version with a sliver more on top and in front of the brant.

    I agree lower in the frame would have been better, but all else looks quite fine. I really like that you have a hint of clouds in the BG.
