Nice and sharp from tip to tail, great low shooting angle and pose...very classic for a ruddy turnstone. Is the nictating membrane partially closed? Looks a bit cloudy, not much to do but maybe burn the eye a bit.

Excellent details/IQ, dof and pose. Love the earth tones. TFS, I thoroughly enjoyed this image.

This is a very strong image. Super sharpness and details. Love the pose and the low angle. The membrane does appear partially exposed, but I don't feel as though it detracts from this image.

Hi Girish, love the light, and you have nailed the sharpness and bringing out the detail. The turnstone is angled nicely, and both the colours of the turnstone and BG compliment each other. Well captured.

    Hi Grace,

It is not the nictating membrane, but twin catch lights. It also got also cloudy as you have noted.
I got lucky & escaped a thunderstorm 10 minutes after making this image.

    Thanks everbody for your feedback.
