    Hi Danny,

very nice pose of this Ibex. For me it looks like you have a yellow color cast in your image. Did you add sue warmth to the image? Was it taken early morning at sunrise or sunset today? To the body you could add more contrast and bring out a bit more details, if possible. As well trying to tame the yellow cast in the image. Just my thoughts!

    Have a great day

    Ciao

This is a stunning animal with amazing horns! Where did you photograph it? Anette has some good points on the color. Nice composition with the ibex looking in and that large rock in the lower right corner.

    Hi Danny

This is a absolutely beautiful portrait. I really like the expression of that Ibex. Agree with above comments on a bit yellow cast. I would also suggest than you add a short text of where the picture is taken, circumstances, and your photographic thoughts when capturing and/or postproduction.

Hi Danny - Great to have you back and posting in Wildlife. Nice light and good to see a species not often posted. Comp and sharpness are good. I also think the yellows are a bit strong here and that you can bring out a bit more detail.

It would be great if in addition to the information which Gregor suggested you include that you also post comments on other people's images. All of this goes to getting to know each other's photography and style so that we can all learn from each other and foster a sense of community. It's recommended that people post on at least 3-5 other images each time they post one of their own.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Agree that the yellows are strong. Even if that's how it looked, and it's possible in those areas, I think it might be best to tone down a little bit. Perhaps a bit more contrast in the mid-tones would be good (perhaps painting in some clarity in LR?) but leave the lights and the darks as the overall contrast is nice and you wouldn't want to mess with that....

Thank you for the comment. Im not much of the story teller but this was taken late afternoon before sunset. at a place called Sede Boker in Southern Israel.
The Ibex herd usually move sup the ridges around Sede Boker during early morning and late afternoon. Little chance of getting a proper image from the car so I had to track
up and down the ridge myself to get this, actually almost got bit by a highly aggressive painted carpet Viper, guess I got a bit lucky there.

stunning image of a stunning looking Ibex. Excellent light & details.
Would like a bit more space at the top & on the left if you have it.

Danny, this is an impressive animal captured in a great pose.
Regarding the yellow cast, curious if you looked at the white balance in RAW? Otherwise, you may want to play around with the vibrance a bit and see what you find.
Psst.....just tried a quick B&W on this one and it looks great to me

Danny I commented last night but seems it didn't pull through.
Love these guys, especially those horns and when they battle from steep precipices. Lovely light and detail here, though I feel you could achieve a tad more tonal depth in the animal through some local contrast enhancement (LCE). See the sticky thread in the main "wildlife" forum for details.
