Good looking bird. I'd prefer a looser composition to include the feet and tail. It also looks like this was a large crop which has left your image pretty soft.
Good looking bird and nice background. You have a nice pose on the bird. The bird is not looking sharp to me. I think you need some more sharpening of the bird only. I wonder whether you were focused on the bird's eye when you took this image. That is the best place to focus on birds and wildlife.
Like the hint of OOF vegetation, the nice BG, and the good eye contact. The image is soft as presented. I might have shot f/7.1 and raised the ISO to 640 or 800, and used the extra light to boost your shutter speed. Good point by Marina about focusing on the eye.
