    Common Snipe
    Sat for several hours for these to make an appearance. I had to cough to get the bird to look at the hide. Once they start probing they go like mad.
    Nikon D200
    Sigma 50-500(cheapo!)
    125th @f8
    400ISO
    80% of frame.
    Strong shafty sunlight coming in from left
    Few highlight spots?reflection cloned out.
    Paint Shop Pro 7
    Image guru/czm

    Excellent image Johnny of one of my favourite birds.. Great look back pose as already mentioned. My only comment is that if it were mine, I might be inclined to tone down the bright area in the foreground as my eye gets drawn to that area. Excellent image though.

    I like the look back pose, muddy bill, composition and setting. I would tone down the foreground as well. Nice image Johnny.

    This little guy is wonderful. Such personality!! He really looks like he's looking at us, and the mud on the bill is - in this context - hilarious. Sure wish I'd taken this shot. Thanks for posting.
