    Default Black Throated Loon

Yeah he is still here, eating well and basically having a good time,
At first I thought he won't stick around long but now I suspect he is planning on staying for the winter.
    We shall see.

Hi Danny, love the light in this, and I do like the outspread wings. The feather detail shows up nicely, and I like the overall colours. Comp works fine as is.

Beautiful image, Danny . I like everything about it, but especially the warm light. Where did you photograph this handsome bird?

Your exposure is right on the money and your details are amazing. You had stunning light. The blue works so well against this bird.

    Danny,

Wow, just wow. The light, exposure, detail, wing position, and head-on angle ... all stunning. I might take a look at a 16:9 crop, with just a bit off the bottom. Otherwise, portfolio worthy!

Stunning shot. I agree with Miguel about a 16:9 crop. I feel it could look even better if you have a little more room.

Also not familiar with a Black Throated Loon... but this image rocks... Youngster? Where did you take it? Really dif to get a "face-on" wing flap... great action, colors and detail!

This was taken in Israel. This is indeed a youngster with a busted GPS as I mentioned in my first Black Throated Loon (Diver) post from about a week ago.
