    Default Hen in flight

    Attached Images Attached Images

Here's a Northern Shoveler hen in flight from a couple years ago.

    Canon 1D4, 700mm
    1/2500, f6.3, iso 640, HH, manual

Added some canvas to the right.

I'm seeing slight banding in the bg after jpeg conversion. Not sure what to do about it.

    All comments appreciated.
    Thanks.

Nice clean and complimenting background. The shooting angle, wing position and eye contact are perfect. Great IQ and nice light. Excellent BIF shot, Sidharth

I'd have to say it's a pretty flawless execution of the shot.

Hi Sid, you certainly nailed this inflight pose - raised wings with a hint of a banking angle. Sharp where it counts, and you couldnt have chosen a better BG to compliment the shoveller. Well captured.

Just perfect, Sid. You make it look easy, but it's hard to get everything just right with ducks and you have. The color of the background is beautiful...I'm not seeing the banding that you mention.

Wow, very nice Sid. I love waterfowl IF shots and this on is awesome. Perfect flight angle, Ha and detail. The BG is very nice and highlights the Shoveler well. I would love to have a shot like this in my files. Well done!!

Gorgeous frame Sid! Your IQ is so good that I'd consider a slightly tighter crop, taking a bit off the bottom and right of the frame.

    Sid,

That background couldn't have been any better for this lady. Best female shoveler I've ever seen. You've got even light on top and bottom of the shoveler, and the turn slightly toward you is perfect.
