As the weather has not been user friendly in almost two weeks now, I decided to post an image from last year.
    It was processed just now.
This lady ( I believe) captured a Field Mouse right in front of us, took it up to this branch (eye level) and ate it while we were clicking away our cameras.

    Thanks for looking.

Excellent pose, comp and bg. Love the strong perch and the traces of blood on her plate (the dried leaves). Did you get any with the head turned slightly more toward the viewer?
I'd sharpen the head a bit more. Nice, subtle use of fill.

This is a beauty, Karl. I don't think I would have waited so long if it were mine. Love the light, perch, leaf. Nicely done.

Hi Karl, good DOF, and good detail on the hawk. I like the curved perch, and the the hawk is posed nicely against the smooth BG. Yes to a better HA.

You have one of the most extensive collection of avian images, Karl...lots of variety and interest in your images, this is no exception. I would sharpen the head a bit more and also check your files to see if you might have one with a slightly better head turn.

Karl you have a very nice image here man! that curvy perch adds a lot to your image, the bird is looking right at you and you got a clean BG. if anything, I would add more light since it looks a tad dark for my taste.
