    Great shot Merv...! Beautiful birds and its great you have both in focus. I think you could lift the whites a little... look a little too grey IMHO...

    nice to get two in the frame, exposure and colors look good to me but I'd sharpen them more. It's great they didn't merge. I wish they had a bit better wing position (especially the lower bird) and stronger eye contact

    These birds are pretty sharp, I lose all my detail when downsizing no matter what I try :(

    Merv, Just guessing, but it looks to me like you just need to apply sharpening to your final jpeg. I do like that you have two in the same frame, nearly always a plus. With gannets, I really like to see the eye clearly and in this case their heads are turned slightly away from us.

    Great job getting both and there different wing angles create some nice movement in the image. Nice separation too.
