    Default Their own unique perspective

Greetings. So, I had a hard time wrapping my head around the theme this time around... I landed on this. I took the opportunity when I was in France this summer of shooting a little street. The first time I spent any time at it. It's an odd pursuit with the equipment I have (uh, not like I'm a fly on the wall with a D4 & a 70-200f/2.8 ;-) but I had fun.

This was taken on La Croisette the main scene in Cannes, France just across from the Carlton where over $50 million in diamonds were stolen the week after we were there. Thanks for looking.

    Cheers,

Yup, I think this works for the theme! You captured a unique moment that could not be better if you staged it. Love the turquoise shoes!

I agree the theme is harder than it sounds. OOTB is already a unique approach to an image, whether by processing or framing or whatever.

Good catch! I never have the nerve to shoot people on the street. Afraid someone might shoot back.

I think B/W could be an interesting interpretation, too, although I do like the colors.

How about B&W with just the shoes in color? Love the shoes! And it's perfect for the theme, Michael

I think it's an interesting street capture, well seen and photographed. I also love the shoes! Cheryl had a good idea for an alternative approach.

    Nancy, Diane, Cheryl, Judy,

Thanks much for your comments. They are greatly appreciated. Some of my favorite shots from the trip were the street shots. Something about being in a foreign country made it a bit easier. Mostly if I caught eye contact the expression is neutral... but a surprise for me - about even between frowns and smiles.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

What a funny photo! The expression on the one woman's face seems to be frowning at the clothes/breasts of the taller woman. :-) I applaud your venture into street photography.
