    Default Female Ring-necked Duck

I created this image tonight in failing light. The Ring-necked Ducks are becoming more accustomed to people and a bit easier to approach. I like the way the BG water complements the colour of the bird. This female and its partner were diving for food, hence the fresh water droplets on the back. Standard edits to the image and a moderate crop.

Nice sharp image and I like the low angle. Maybe just a little more room on the right side.

A very nice image, John. I like the subtle colors of these hens. The bird is sharp, has a good head angle, and the water drops are always a big plus in my book. I agree with you about the water color complementing the bird. I would wish for just a bit more room on the right as the bird's virtual tail is almost touching the frame. Well done.

Nice pose and sharp details. I especially like the water drops, the low perspective, and the complimentary background colors. A tad more room behind her would be desireable. Nice image!

Agree it is a little tight on the right, but the water is really what makes this one special. Wonderful detail in the plumage.

This image just has an overall pleasing color tone to it for me. Nice.
