Continuing with some variety...spot the impala!
    Where else but Mana Pools??

This is a pano-stitch comprised of 3 images shot at 500mm...wish I'd stopped down to f8 but the impala only stood like this for a few seconds!

    Nikkor 500mm f4 VR-II

Hi Morkel - gorgeous light! Nice job stitching. Truthfully I'm not sure the impala really adds much. I find myself drawn to the light and the tangle of dead trees.

The impala makes the shot but wish it was slightly further into the frame - it's just a bit too close to the edge. It's a lovely idea though and well executed in terms of exposure and stitching.

    Hi Morkel,

the light already jumps in my eye when I look thought the thumbnails of posted images. Than I know, aaah Mana Pools again

I like no matter what, just the Impala needs a bit bigger a tad or a bit more in the frame.

    Have a great evening

    Ciao

I like this Morkel as it takes the eyes a while to get drawn into the image.

I agree that the impala is small, but it give a perspective to the "grand size" of the trees and grass near it. I love it.

Great light Morkel. I knew immediately that it was Mana Pools when I saw the thumbnail! this is about how close we got to impalas in the first week... will look great in large print. would have been better if the impala was standing a bit more to the left, but that's not something you choose... Great job on the stitching, never tried that before. you are an inspiration! ;-)

Love the treatment here Morkel, although this image could have very well been captured in the Sth Luangwa, being close neighbours to Mana/Zim
I'm on the fence with the Impala

Hi Morkel, the light in this location is gorgeous, not doubt and has created some lovely image for you. I do find however, that I a drawn more to the trees rather than the Impala and is therefore a little lost in the overall composition IMHO. Excellent work on the stitching.

Thanks everyone. The feedback on this one has been very interesting and certainly a mixed bag.
Some think the impala makes it, some want it gone.
For me - I think the impala makes it as it adds a strange kind of balance to the tangled mess of trees on the LHS...
