Love the composition as is but I might have liked it better as a pano created by taking about 40 mm off of the top.

Do you have space to the left and to the right in the original frame? Cropping of the top and loosening a bit left and right may give an even better perspective of the vastness of the ocean

I agree, I like the repost better compositionally. Looks like there is some noise in the BG.

I like the ocean feel of the image. Nice colours. I prefer the repost too. I would have like a better wing position on the subject though. You don't say the focal length but I imagine it would be closer to the 100mm end...

I like the concept here.
Very dramatic setting and moody dangerous (!) feel to the image. I am the odd one out here but I like the OP better because of the pattern in the sky. The OP still needs more on the left though.
I think the exposure could have been bumped up bit in camera and you have a lot of dust spots visible! Time for a sensor clean!
As mentioned the BG needs NR.
I feel the image needs a bit of CW rotation as well to level the horizon.

nice, I like the environmental shot but at this size the bird is bit too small in the frame and I'm not sure about his wing position and lack of eye contact. I think this would work better if the island were in focus too
