She had just killed a wildebeest and was resting, panting & puffing after the hunt and relaxed for a while before digging in. I went for a portrait crop here.

Sanjeeve, you have excellent details here, but I find the image is a little flat. I would suggest brightening the eyes a little, and add a little more mid tone contrast. Loi
Hi Sanjeev - nice close look at the lioness but this doesn't have the depth and detail of some of your more recent posts. Looks like the techs in the field were good so maybe try reprocessing it or shoot us the RAW for some suggestions. I'd like a little more room on the right but not a deal breaker. Watch the whites on the chin too.
TFS,
Rachel
Hi Sanjeev, as this is for me, more about the head/detail, perhaps going tighter if IQ allows, might also be an alternative option, ie square, WDYT? Can't comment on colour, but certainly the detail is certainly improving within your images which is nice to see. The techs also look good, and the image illustrates how these annoying flies persist in large proportions, constantly irritating the subject with no rest bite for the victim.
One question, did you 'balance' the eye colouring, the reason I ask is that it looks like the light is coming from the LHS, but both eyes look equal in tone & colour?
I agree, just be mindful in your processing.Watch the whites on the chin too.

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Yes agree with Steve - lose a bit off the LHS (perhaps up to that blue blob) and the top to take it into a close crop. I wouldn't go square but that's personal preference. Details are good so give it another go. Perhaps also a bit of CW rotation.

Hi Sanjeev, this looks very nice. Agree with Rachel and Steve. Glad to hear about the eyes from Steve. Never thought about that... well to do, but now I know!
Details are great, just let the whole image be a bit more pop, take out the flat look
Have a great day

Hi Sanjeev, agree with the above. Can try a Selective Adjustment layer and bring in blacks with about +5 on neutrals and whites. Worth a try.
Something puzzles me- You shot F8, from the chin to the top of ears is in focus, but the canines and front teeth not?
Andre.
Another vote from my side to crop tighter if IQ allows it...
Tonal contrast or LCE should add some nice depth to her features.
Did you get the actual kill??![]()
Thanks everyone. Morkel, I did get the kill but no where close to the kind of image you posted of the cheetah! I was thrilled to have actually seen one, so no regrets.
