    Default Out my office window

I get a number of ringneck pheasants that visit my feeder regularly. I captured this images of a displaying male out my office window this past spring. I didn't anticipate the action but the blur in the wings seems to give a sense of motion to the image, so I'm ok with it...

Wish I had these birds in MY yard! Love that this is a vertical b/c it's probably the first vertical pheasant image I have ever seen.

    Dale,
That is so great! Pheasants are always so skittish when I'm around.
I agree that the wing blur works well.

Agreed - I really like the wing blur. Very nice shot. It almost looks as if he just landed.

I'm in the San Diego coastal area so we only get pheasants up in our local mountains. Coincidentally, my wife and I are going up there this weekend for our anniversary. I'm hoping to get some in flight shots of pheasants and wild turkeys.

    This is lovely.
I agree with you that the wing blur is just right.
Love the displaying tail and your comp works well. I could see a version with a sliver more up top and to the right,

The tail raised up is so very cool! Wing blur works well, and the vertical comp is very nice. As posted I would not sharpen the sharp grasses under the peasant. A better HA would have been killer good...but not an image breaker in this case.
