    Nice image and composition. The head is a bit soft though. Even with stationary raptors, because they constantly make little twitching moves, I try for a minimum shutter speed of 1/2000. I find this increases the sharpness. It could be that a small twitch in scanning to protect its catch is what caused the head to be a bit soft.

    That's your prerogative, but it certainly is not sharp. However, I guess if you're satisfied with it, that's what really counts.
