    Default Venice Rookery Report

Went to the Rookery this evening, this place is hopping. White ibis, GBH, anhinga, and Great White Egrets abound. Quite a few nesting pairs, including several GBH pairs. Pappa GBH are all over scrounging for nest pieces while Momma GBH gets ready. At sundown, several squadrons (very appropriate description) of ibis come swooping in, covering the island. Island looks more white than green!
