Taken in the Serengeti just after sunrise. I love the warm colors of the light at this time in East Africa.

Beautiful light! Love the 'over-the-shoulder' look and the environment. I might lose the tiny bit of grass that is touching its nose and would a little cw rotation help?
Ed
Hi Loi - beautiful light with excellent techs. I agree on the cw rotation and would also crop some from the top or clone/blend (if so inclined) to get rid of the white blobs in the upper right corner. I would selectively burn the brighter area in the upper left a bit more. Finally, there's a sort of rectangular patch above the hyena's back that I would blend in a little more. Overall, an image that is definitely worth taking up a notch. Well done.

Rachel

Thank you Ed, Rachel. I did a slight CW rotation. There is a hill there and the hyena was standing on an incline. I cloned out the blob of highlights over the hyena and used Curves to darken the sky a little. Thank you. Loi
Hi Loi,
your RP looks much better to me. details are great. Had a laugh when I saw the "look" the Hyena gave you.
Have a great eve

...and when are you coming to South Africa, Loi?
Love the RP, and yes- the look you got from this hyena is priceless!!!
Sorry to comment so late, have not been near a computer for a few days now, been missing BPN...
Have a great evening,

Nice light and pose here Loi.
RP is better but there's still a weird-looking blob where you did the cleanup in the BG?
PS: The light is nice like that at dawn in Southern Africa too![]()
Hi Loi, RP is the way to go, looking good.
Good call on the ISO, see 1600 is not a big issue.
BTW I think I managed to retrieve your Elephant image, so will fwd when I get back next week.
