    Default white-fronted Chat

A male white-fronted Chat (Epthianura albifrons) - taken at the WTP on 25/8/13 equipment used 5d mk iii, 2x iii extender and my car window to keep it steady. 1/2000 f/8 iso 400 .. this photo needed to have the exposure levels lifted in lightroom as it was dark and a 40% crop.

Nice and sharp with lovely eye detail, Merv. Underexposure protected your whites but has caused noise in the darks that have had to be opened up. A bit of NR on the BG should clean it up.

Superb image. Beautiful bird, nice details in whites, perch and composition.

A beautiful bird with a nice composition. Details look a little smudged in places, and I might run a bit more NR on the BG.

I like the overall look of the image, but agree some NR to the BG would be good. I'd also tone down the brighter spot behind the subject. Love the eye.
