    Default Peek a boo

A sparrow lark female, posted a male before

    5D MIII + 400 f2.8 + 2x tc

    ISO 1000, 1/2500, f9

The female was behind the rock later came on the rock and i got the full bird, however the one behind with the head turn is what i liked of the 10 frames.

Let me know your thoughts on this one, original frame had more of rock in it which was OOF so i thought of keeping only this much in my re cropped one.

Love the colours of the plumage and smooth BG, Visahl. Over the shoulder look is good and sharpness and plumage detail excellent. I would try a bit more of a crop removing a little from left, bottom and right to reduce the area of OOF rock - not sure if it would be better but worth trying.

The head turn is perfect and I love the complimentary color of the BG. I think the bird is somewhat oversharpened, and the OOF rock is fairly distracting to me.

The bird is sharp and well processed, but I am with Doug about the oof rock...it is too defined...I think photographing wide open would have done wonders to that rock if this is the type of image you were going for.

P.S. I like the "grumpy" look on the bird's face!!
