Love the spotlight effect. Well exposed and beautifully composed. Love the perch and the dark bg. Very nice work, Tim.

Agree with Sid here, Tim. Love the spotlit appearance. A difficult exposure situation well handled.

    Tim,

Greetings. Nice chiaroscuro effect. I would be inclined to sharpen a bit. I particularly like the color contrast the perch adds. Thanks for posting.

    Cheers,

Love the mood here...awesome! I'd perhaps be tempted to place the subject a tad more to the right by adding some canvas top and left. Very nice overall.

    Tim,

The spotlight effect was pulled off perfectly. I will agree with Daniel's comment about removing a bit from the right.

I'd add one more round of sharpening to the head.

Super spotlight effect. Love the dark BG b/c it really makes this bird pop. I would like to see more details in the bird's head. Have you tried a vertical? It might work well if you have some space on top.

The spotlight effect makes this image for me.

    Hi Tim,
I really like this. hard to add more to the previous comments.
Very dramatic and the perch with the green really adds a nice punch of color.

I like the composition and the dramatic lighting. Detail in the bird is somewhat lacking though; focus seems like it may be better on the perch than on the bird.
