    Default Landscale style brown bear

I wanted to show the surrounding area and the bear running after the fish. It's kind of a squarish crop but standard (8 x 10) but I'm not as satisfied as I'd like.
But I didn't want to lose the fish in front of him nor the tundra hills above them nor the river off to his right.

Not an award winner but I like it and wanted some comments,
    Thanks as always

    Hi Stan,

according the crop. Pulled it over in PS, your color profile!.
Anyway, I cropped just underneath the Salmon and it worked for me very good, since than the attention goes as well to the fish. Well, in my eyes. Your tundra will be still in the image.
For me the nose, between the black nose up to the eyes is a bit soft. But that's just me
The rest looks fine to me. Will see what the others have to say on this one.

    Have a great day

    Ciao Anette

Ahhh, Anette, is your ps telling you it's adobe and not sRGB, when I pull it into PS CS 6 it identifies it as sRGB????? That is the file I uploaded is.

A little soft to me too, and the background might need a bit of NR, but I LOVE the way the bear is bouncing towards you! Stunning. Perhaps try lifting the shadows a little and try lightening the whites a little....? I might also warm it slightly with an increase in WB. The pink fish in the foreground are a great touch.

Aaaaaaahhhhh Stan, you pulled me away from John Wayne movie. Gosh they used lots of Ketchup those days

My PS tells me: Hey Anette, what on earth do you want to open there. A bear, a brown one, you did not shot that!!
In reality: "The document " Brown-bear-running-at-fisl-l..." does not have an embedded RGB profile" "What would you like to do?
Aaah, I wanna go there too

I cropped it and I like it the way I told ya Took off about 1cm of the bottom from the size you posted

    Have a great day/eve

    Ciao

Stan - I agree with Anette, the image does not have an embedded profile. My first impression was also that the bear needed a bit more sharpening and the bg some NR. I do really like the wider view and the action with the bear closing fast toward you and the fish. Well worth applying a few minor tweaks.

Stan, nice action there with the bear running towards you and water splashing around. If it were mine, I would crop a couple of cm from top and one cm from bottom.

I too like the wider view here with the pink fish visible in front. Some good suggestions received already, Stan...I would crop from the top to eliminate the brown/bland band in the BG...leave only green (crop down to the top of the bend in the river)?

Kind of like the wider view here and the way the river winds away behind the bear. Format looks okay to me, maybe remove the small green sliver up top (or show more if you got it)

A very late repost due to work. Made almost all suggestions as they were good ones.
Anette, never want to interrupt your John Wayne time, my pics can always wait!

Size: 391.5 KB Couldn't get it to uplaad for some reason. This was saved as sRGB. Also with respect ti IQ, it's not as good as I would like and I've cropped 40% of the raw file.
I resharpened the face just a bit since the comments were consistent but it's really more than I like.

I certainly like the closer crop Stan. I think you can go halfway between the 2 for the amount of sharpening on the face?
