A New member, and Hello from Pretoria, South Africa.

I have been lurking here for a few months, and I stand amazed by the quality of images and photographers who post, contribute and participate on BPN. I have always enjoyed photography, but I have only fairly recently decided I wanted to put in the effort to improve, and to see where the journey takes me.

Wildlife photography and landscapes is what I'm really interested in, but almost unexpectedly I developed an interest in Bird In Flight photography.

I am very new to BIF, but I am finding it easier and easier with more practice each weekend I go out to the local pond.

I am here to learn, and I hope I will be able to show what I have learnt here in the weeks and months to come.

Def. a great place to learn and grow as a nature photographer. Sometimes it is more comfortable for developing photographers to put their early images on the eager to learn forum. Great folks there, very good advice, slightly more relaxed atmosphere than on the avian board, where people are also very nice, but a bit more matter of fact, perhaps. Depends on your learning style.
