James, this has a very serene feeling to it. I like the balance of big sky and the placement of the horizon

Love the color palate here and the impending storm. Lit up rocks make a nice focal point.

Really like the contrasts between sharp/soft, and the colours give it quite a serene feel.

Very pretty, where is the mermaid that should be laying on those rocks???

May I ask Captain James what you mean by "painted with flash light"........... I'm new, you have me stumped.

During the exposure (15 seconds) I illuminated the rocks (and only the rocks) with a hand held flashlight.

Stunning saturated, yet delicate, colors and lines. I really like the super clean, straight line of the horizon separating the 2 strong visual elements of foreground and bkgd. Perfect balance placement of the lighter cloud vs the lit rocks.

Nice dreamy feel, James. I love the soft colors and the rocks provide a nice balance to the scene.

Thanks for answering my question James.

Another interesting technique that never would occur to me.
