There is an area in Cape Town named Boulders Beach, and it is well known for its Penquins. This fellow was actually walking behind a small wall, so I went for a body shot. It was overcast and had just stopped raining. I decided to leave the grasses against the lower body. The BG is a huge boulder.

Perfect exposure on a hard to expose color combination. Nice details and HA as well as nice framing, Stuart. Love the soft light.

Superb details, perfect exposure and a good call on the dof. Overcast light worked well for you. I like your comp and the big fella gave you a nice head turn.

    Hi Stuart,
Very nice exposure and detail on this fellow. Its great to see the detail on the feathers face. Wings look like they're made of carbon fiber.

    Hi Stuart,

I really like the IQ in this little penguin.
    The exposure is perfect.
This would look good cropped even tighter,
