Here's another male fly. Those eyes wrap all the way around to the back of the head. I don't know anything about its taxonomy/cladistics except a few things that is not, so any ID help much appreciated. Comments, criticisms, suggestions also always appreciated!

Not sure how to critique this or what species but I quite like the image as a whole.
I would maybe keep the yellow on the left more uniform, fill in the black hole next to the harsher vertical yellow line on the left.... just so the focus stays on the bug.
I like the yellow as a BG.
Those eyes are really something else, nice capture.
Nicely focused, if anything I think I would suggest a slightly higher camera angle would have been better, the knee joint on his left second leg may have been visible, , just possibly his proboscis may have been a tad sharper too. I like the overall composition showing the delineation of the flower.
