    Hi Andre, looking good!

Like the offset position and low POV. Would remove the blue cast in the fur and you may like to look at loosing perhaps have the space above, between trim & ears, looks like there is a natural line in the BKG? Happy as presented, but can also be flipped, just thinking of options.

Andre, removing the Blue was required and it looks much better, great. The previous comments were thoughts/observations, so as I tend to do, will bat the ball back into your court, WDYT? However, it might be worth holding fire until you have more thoughts posted, as members now have a choice and can see the changes first hand. Also there may be other suggestions or observations to come as people view.

Andre, nice and sharp and the subject really pops. Cropping some of the top improves the image a lot. For me, flipping left and right is just the same image, why should it matter one way or another. I can see the blue cast now in the OP, but withour Steve pointing it out, I wouldn't have seen it, but that is just me. The high contrast of the BG is drawing my attention too much. I'd suggest trying to reduce the contrast of the BG only. Nice and cute image. Loi

Excellent image Andre, I like the RP, flipped image. Very well done, nice POV and the tongue really adds to this.

Agree with Loi - there's something distracting in the creaminess of that background and I think it's the high-contrast areas that are conflicting with the ears. Perhaps look at losing those somehow as otherwise it's great. To me, R or L makes no difference either. I wonder if it's too much space on the R/L side? I can see why you keep it to avoid the image becoming square but it doesn't really work for me. I would try it portrait too?

Hi Andre- first thing that jumped out at me was the blue cast. You've handled that well in the rp. Nice detail and the tongue out and crossed legs really add to the image.

As Steve knows, I don't believe in flipping images. I remember how I saw the sighting in the field and flipped images look wrong to me. That being said, that's my personal choice and if you had only posted the rp then I would have never known you flipped it.

I agree on the comments about the bg.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Thanks Loi, Sanjeev, Edward and Rachel.

The BG is a headache. It is Dolomite rocks(white) and the black is deep shadows. Contrast has been reduced, blurred, luminous layer on blacks only. The only route I have not taken is to clone it with a soft brush with low opacity.
It appears to be more prominent in the tighter crop.

    Any other suggestions?
    Regards

    Andre.

    Hi Andre,

love the crossed legs. Most is posted already. I had one yesterday, where flipping the image changed it into better. Was I glad
I like the OP, looked a few times, with glasses and without.

    Have a great day

    Ciao

Andre, just dashing out the door, late, but does this work? The % of BKG can vary using the Opacity, but in theory what do you folks think, or is there an alternative rather than re shooting, LOL? The masking is poor, but it's the principal of the idea or diffusing that BKG. The fine tuning is for later, it's the overall concept.

I personally don't like flipping images but in this case it works because of the lit-up eye that is now in a more pleasing orientation.
Nice pose here, Andre...I'd perhaps have gone all portrait crop here to accentuate the pose though. Your RP colour is good, and I like what Steve did "on the run" as well.

Cheers Morkel, it's rather crude being 'on the fly' (a night out yesterday & could not be late for that!!!!), but you get the idea which was my point, it can be easily refined depending on direction etc.

In regard to flipping, I think it does have merit if it improves the image and who would know, however it certainly doesn't fall into the category of cloning.

Presume it was a night of blue elephants and dusty vultures...and a few Amur leopards...

Thanks Steve, will do RP tonight, and play with the sliders.
Morkel , will dream about Ellies with a colour cast and how Steve will propose to fix them.

Andre, unless you know what I did, you might struggle, will PM later, that's if I don't look myself out of here.
