Visited Namibia recently, at this time of the year the carmines are preparing their nests for breeding. This is one of my favourites from my recent trip. D4 600vr 1/2500s at f5.6 ISO 1600.

Striking flight shot, Vivaldo. Everything worked out nicely; the wing stretch, fanned tail, eye contact and complimenting background.

Hi Viv, great timing to capture this flight pose, and good DOF for 5.6. The colours are spot on, sharp, and that smooth BG compliments the carmine so well. Well captured.

Stunning, stunning, stunning. I love the vegetation streaks in the BKGR. This one is a potential contest winner.

Amazing. Love the pose and the way the background colours compliment the bird. The colours are something special.

Wow, that is an amazing flight pose you got here!! Colours, light, comp, details...all excellent! I'd consider perhaps toning down the line crossing tail-tip (it caught my eye right away) but man, what an image!

Perfect image Vivaldo! Everything has been said but it would be a shame not to acknowledge such a fine image.
