Had a little fun recently with a young Yellow-crowned Night heron as he learned the ins and outs of hunting for crabs. The fading evening light comes right down a channel in a harbor near me for a couple weeks in the fall, is reflected off the reeds, and things light up just beautifully. Add a couple good subjects and it's a photographer's heaven.

- This is a beauty - the gorgeous light you have managed to capture on the heron and crab is stunning. The detail and colour is amazing. The beautiful image portrays the story very well.
