A slightly unusual look at this Tern, taking a look at me. Cape May last week, taken about 0.75 seconds before yesterday's post. Cloned out several oof swans in the bg. C&C appreciated.

Hi Bill, nice and sharp, incoming pose with great V wing and perfect light. It is just a little small in the frame in terms of volume, but with such great wings, you really can get any closer! Well done. Loi

Nice one, Bill. For images like these, I like to leave room for the bird to fly in to (In this case, left side as viewed), but this works nicely as well. Not an easy one to get, well done.

This is a very hard shot to get!
I have to agree with Loi and Grace's comments.

Hi Bill, good eye contact, and not an easy shot to lock onto. Well captured.

Thank you all for the comments. I wasn't sure how to crop this. As Loi says, there's not much volume to the bird because of his slender profile. And like a good quarterback, the bird seems to be looking one way while going another. Here's another version. The OP was 89% of full width, without any additional room on the left. But I stretched the canvas on the left to give him some flying room, and cropped as much as the wingtips would allow. It may now need some more room on the bottom. What do you think?

I prefer the repost, but maybe you went a bit far with crop . Seems a bit tight to me now although the size of the bird in the frame is definitely an improvement. Maybe a bit more room in the bottom?

Nice turn of the Tern, Bill. The framing of the repost is better.
