A favorite of mine from late summer here on Long Island. This is a clean image, nothing added or removed. Just waited for him to find a clean spot on the beach and then depressed the shutter . (I used this in a contest where the rules are very strict.)

Thanks for looking and for your comments...I read and appreciate them all.

Just love that layered bg and how fg blends into the bg. Your signature high IQ. The motion blur on the foot adds. Nicely done, Grace.

Simply gorgeous fg/bg, and low angle. Amazingly smooth for an untouched image. Nice walking pose, and interesting transitional plumage. My first reaction was that the bird looked a little soft, but when I look closely there is good fine detail. Maybe just the nature of the light and the plumage. In any case, a lovely image of one of my favorite birds.

This is very lovely and even better that it is perfectly untouched.

Grace I have to compliment you on your consistently great images you have posted since I have joined this forum. It is something to aspire to. The sharpness and detail on the plover is excellent along with the low angle and light. The BG and FG blends so well

    Grace:

I knew this was your image just looking at the thumbnail, without seeing the name. Lovely.

I might try a version with 1/4 of the green cropped from the top, but just personal taste.

    Well done.

    Cheers
