    Right on, but for educational reasons it's a good idea to say why. In this case, the similar species is the Thick-billed Murre. Here you see the classic mark of the Common Murre in the white flash behind and above the eye. Thick-bills are all dark-grey/black from the bill, back under the eye giving a white-throated appearance.
