This image was taken early morning in the Laikipia plateau, Kenya. Saw a flock of more than a dozen birds.

    Loi,
This absolutely superb image with lovely colors. Love the poses with very nice HA, nice lights, grass in the in the habitat and composition.
OOF bird on right side is bit distracting the attention.

    Regards,
    Satish.

    What wonderful looking birds!
I like everything about the 2 main birds but find the OOF bird on the right distracting ( mostly because the tail is cut off).
If you have more space on the right I would include the entire bird.
I would also tone down the bright OOF vertical grass on the LHS in upper corner.
    Loved seeing this species. TFS

What a unique and interesting species. Love it.
The oof one on the top left adds imo, but the one on the right is a tad distracting imho, especially because it is so close to the main birds.

Gail has echoed my thoughts very well and worth investigating her cropping option if you had it. The two main birds are fabulous!!

What an amazing looking bird! Am surprised they are not already extinct standing out like that!!

Loads of details and very sharp main subjects

Agree about the distracting OOF bird but unfortunately you cannot selectively frighten animals out of the frame

Hi Everyone, thank you very much for your kind comments.

Gail, I included here a RP with almost FF with only a sliver off the bottom. I also cloned out the tip of the OOF bright grass on the LHS and toned it down. How funny that it didn't bother me before but now you pointed out, it sticks out liek a sore thumb!

I have another horizontal shot with 4 birds in focus which I may post later and may be less distracting BG (still has birds in BG but not cut off). I like the pair in this frame though.

Hi Loi, Ive seen these in captivity, so great seeing them in the wild. They pop so well from the surrounding BG, and just love the detail and colours. Your repost is better.

Thanks for the kind words on my flamingo.
