    Default Leafy Blur

Had to hunt through my archives to find a theme image this week because virtually all of my recent images have not been taken in my backyard. I took this blur last summer. If I remember correctly, there was a rainstorm coming and so the wind was whipping around the branches of this big male tree that sits in my backyard.

No textures on this image (shocking! ) just a slight curves adjustment and cropped to pano.

A motion blur with all the work done for you -- cool! The sprinkling of lighter leaves gives the eye a place to rest -- well done.

Christopher, I know you're not a big fan of blurs but the ones you do are always so nice (so secretly I think you like them more than you know) The pano is the perfect way to go with this image. Lovely sense of motion.

Really like the pano Christopher. Good point by Diane about the lighter leaves, and I think the ULC is also an anchor point.

Great in camera blur, Christoper. I agree that it woks well as a pano. The different color tones flow to make a pleasing comp.

Haha! That could be true, Cheryl. Most blurs just don't appeal to me, but every so often there is one that I really, really like. Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Much appreciated!

James, the shutter speed was 1/5.

Christopher, beautiful flowing lines mixed with soft shades of green. And just enough detail to know these are still leaves. The pano crop is unusual & interesting and very effective emphasizing the horizontal motion!
