This is my first post here so I guess I have to introduce myself :) My name is Agust and I live in the Westfjords of Iceland, where most of my photos are taken. The summer brings alot of birds here but the winters, that sometimes get very hard, are a different story. Althougt we have our two beautiful raptors all of the year, the white tailed eagle and the gyrfalcon, that quite often can be seen near the coast in the winter time.
I met this gyrfalcon yesterday while he was just finishing eating a puffin near the shore.

Welcome and yes this a great first post of this beautiful Gyr falcon. Nice wing position and good detail throughout. Well done and look forward to more from Iceland
Welcome Agust, and you're off the a superb start. Excellent exposure, pose and sharpness. The blood on the belly tells the story. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more.
Hi there Agust, welcome to BPN!! Very nice first post, and a great subject to boot! Quite the blood stain on the belly. The subject is quite sharp and motion well frozen. The BG is OK for the most part, just a few darker areas that are distracting to me, especially ion front of the bird. I've seen ots of beautiful bird photos coming from Iceland...looking forward to more :-)
