This photo was taken at the Western Treatment Plant Victoria Australia on 28/5/2013... Equipment used: Canon EOS 5D Mark III, 100-400mm canon L lens,
Settings: f 5/6 iso 100, 1/250 shot at 400mm ..

Merv I like group shots and like this shot.
If it were mine I would try cropping the vegetation off either completely or just leave a small strip of it. I would also crop or clone out the two birds on the right that have been clipped and clone out the legs that are just visible on the left.

Sorry just realised my monitor was cutting off the right hand side so Ignore the part about the birds on the right. I would still clone or crop the legs on the left.

I think this would look better as a pano with the far greenery cropped out.

The re-crop does look better IMO but I have just one comment / suggestion in regards to the techs: Your ISO and subsequent SS is much too low for consistent success for bird in flight photography. Although this image looks sharp as posted you will find your "keeper rate" improve dramatically with a higher ISO for bird photography. You needn't worry about noise issues with your camera...put it at minimum ISO 400 and don't worry about it. At ISO 400 you'd have 1/2000s...much better for the situation at hand.
