    Default Little Egret with in night dress

    Dear Natugraphers,

    Today I post a Little Egret in nuptial parade. This photo was taken at Lagoa dos Salgados, in Algarve - Portugal.

    Comments and suggestions are welcomed :)

    Nice, low POV ( point of view)
    The dark day really helped with the exposure of the whites.
    I like the fluffed up pose as well.
    I would clone out the stray water drop at the top of the frame. I would also lightly lighten or dodge the dark BG area around the knees because the black in the legs (and the beak) tend to get lost into the BG.
    You can also post at a bigger size if you want.

    Nicely done, Tiago. It's a fun pose with all that fluffing. I wonder if the entire image could be a bit brighter? I would at least try dodging his face a bit, to give more life to the eye. Looking forward to more of your work .

    I too am thinking the image may be a little dark overall. Is the eye yellow in this species? If so making them more so would help alot IMO and lightening the face as per Grace would be good. I love the low angle, fluffing pose, and the strip of land at right o the bird. A bit looser comp, especially top (and right to retain ratio) would also be good.
