    Default Burrowing Owl

    I'm having a lot of fun with the burrowing owls this spring! I photographed this one a couple of weeks ago. I'm hoping to see the babies pretty soon.



    Canon 1D Mark III, 500mm + 1.4x, f/9, 1/800, ISO 800, +2/3 EV, no flash, monopod

    Oh yes! this is a beautiful eye contact for sure Doug. The low angle is very nice and the soft light too. very nice mood on this image

    Hi Doug,
    I'm liking the way you use the grasses as a compositional element. I might darken it a bit overal......but that is for my tastes........ nicely done!

    Those eyes really stand out. I'd suggest a slight contrast boost as the foreground and background are so similar in color.
