    Default Semipalmated Sandpiper

Taken a few weeks ago as the sun was very low.
This hatch year bird was very content as I belly-dragged my way closer.

    Tim:

You bird is sharp, well exposed, excellent shooting angle, soft bg. Effective comp.

Looks like it needs a sliver of CW rotation based on the ripple in the water around the legs.

    Cheers

Nice light here Tim and the calm flat water is very appealing. I like the water drop on the bill as well. If this were mine because you don't have a full reflection, I would be tempted to crop the bottom to just where the body angle beds for the neck line on the reflection. It seems to take away the want for the whole reflection IMO.

The still golden water is the feature attraction of this image. Great low POV.
I like the green band in the BG.
I am never sure what to do with partial reflections. I like your choice but also like Cheryl's idea of taking a bit more off the bottom.
I would dodge the darker spot in the green band that is behind the bird. I would also clone out the second smaller catchlight .
    Lovely image,
    Gail
