Hello from Adelaide! (AUS)
Hi Guys and Girls!
Been lurking here for a while as I have started to get into bird photography.
After a few weeks of issues (my UV filter was creating horrible ghosting on my 70-200) I figured it out and finally got to go out and take some shots this afternoon at the local wetlands (alot of seagulls, but it made for a good practice session). This is really my first attempt!! Can't wait to keep learning!

Hi Cam and welcome to BPN. Australia? Never been there but would love the visit. BPN is a great community to share your images and get good honest advice and critiques. I like your second image the best as it shows a good landing pose and eye contact. We welcome your posts and recommend becoming a member for the full benefit.
Welcome to BPN, Cam! This is definitely the best place on the web to learn about nature photography, and looking forward to your participation here. Just so you know, I removed two of the three images that you posted because our guidelines only allow one image per post. Very nice work though!

You can start posting your images either in Avian or Eager to Learn. The latter is a nice place to get started, a bit more relaxed critiquing style, but very good information. When you feel ready, Avian is a bit more active, and sometimes the comments are a bit more matter of fact (not better, just a different style)
