This pose reminds me of someone running around with their arms fully outstretched, and full of happiness. This Flamingo probably felt the same - instead of flying towards the other group of flamingo's, he ran across the water. I left the trailing wake to show the curve of his run, thus placing him in the bottom half of the frame which hopefully works. Taken in the Milnerton lagoon, a suburb of Cape Town back in June.

This is fantastic, Stu. I love your choice of comp showing the S curve. Indeed he looks like a soccer player who's just scored :)
Light (and light angle) is sweet. Pose with one leg up and the splash behind really add to the action. Excellent!

Great shot Stuart. Love the stretched wings, dancing pose and the trail in the water.
I also observed many time when Geese, Ducks, Swans and the like were having fun in the water, just like kids would do at the beach.

Hi Stuart - Excellent shot. Pin sharp and lovely light. I like the trail on the water to portray his course. TFS

    Hi Stuart,
Neat shot. Love the underwing detail and the curving line of his tracks through the water.

    Stuart Sir,
Marvelous image. Very nice tracks behind him in beautiful blues and placement of Flamingo in the frame.
Love the full stretched wings, raised foot, yellow eye and flash of water.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Hi Stuart, sorry Im a bit late but had to stop by to agree with the others, very cool frame and I love the tracks left behind this guy. Loos like the perfect skimming rock throw;) I like the pose and the frozen water behind the bird. Nice work.
