    Stretching the limits of both myself and my gear, I created this image tonight in very low light. More for fun and experimentation than anything else.

    1/500, f4, iso3200
    Canon 1dx, 600 fr + lowered rrs tripod

    Looks really good Grace.
    Nice soft diffuse light and great pose.
    I like the soft colors in this as well as the layered BG. The punch of green vegetation on the left is nice as well. I might be tempted to remove the green stuff to the right of heron.

    Hi Grace, seems like you need not experiment any further - everything looks great here. Love the look back pose, soft light, and sure nailed the sharpness. Nicely separated from the BG, and a vertical comp wouldnt be out of place, but nothing wrong as is.

    Oh MY! I just want to hug this "gawky" youngster! Great focal point for the eye.... incredible soft and pleasing background. I like all the greenery... the one on the right too.
