Merlin with Fall colors- Hawk Ridge, Duluth, Minnesota, United States - October

This bird landed after making a pass at the plastic owl that the hawk counters put up near their station. I liked the northern forest feel as well as the depth and fall colors.

20D, 500+1.4, 1/400 sec; f/11; ISO 400, full frame, basic levels and white balance adjustments in PS.
