    This was growing beside the deck at our cottage. I tweaked the colours and added some textures. Pond ripples for some distortion.

    Great color combination, Jackie. I like just the hint of the stamens hanging down from the flower and the darkish vignette.

    Lovely composition of lines and shapes. The red swirls in the flower and the subtle color variations in the bkgd give this a strong sense of energy. It makes me think of how an insect may see this flower through ultraviolet light!

    The strong colors work well with the simplicity of the design and the ripple effect to make a striking image. Just enough texture, too.

    pretty pretty, looks very Batik like to me, not sure on that spelling. My aunt does this on silk, I think it's called Batik.

    love the purple BG, my favorite color.
