I was a t first undecided about the reflection but I think it might as well be there. I deliberately left the grasses in place.

Hi Jon - I love the pose with the foot in the air. Nice details in the whites. I cannot make up my mind on the reflection, the fact that the head is obscured in the reflection would probably have moved me to not include it.

Hi Jon, the low shooting angle works well, and well timed to capture the raised foot. Good feather detail on the dunlin, and overall well exposed and sharp. As the reflection is not 100% clear, and with the OOF foliage in the LRC drawing my eye, I would come up from the bottom. I would also move the dunlin back to the right a touch. .

    Jonathan,

Comments above all make a valid point to remove a portion of the reflection and add a bit to the top. A slight CW rotation may be needed, based on the ripples in the water.

Besides that, I quite like the shooting angle, detail in the feathers, raised foot, and color in the bg.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, must admit though if I cut the reflection finding the ideal point is problematical, I agree move it to the right a bit.
