I was somewhat hesitant to repost this to "Avian" from "Eager to Learn", but when the second poster suggested this, I thought "What the Heck".

This was one of those fortuitous days when after being bored and shooting anything that might look interesting, I review my imports and get the reaction, "Wow! Did I shoot that?"

A fantastic "decisive moment" sharply caught!

it is one big catch and you caught it at the right time. it looks a bit noisy and over sharpened, maybe too much of a crop ?

Well caught Jerry, just the right moment.
There is a bit of noise, but the image is strong enough to handle it IMHO.

Excellent timing, at ISO 400 I would have expected very little noise, as alluded to previously I would reduce the crop slightly and apply a little less sharpening. It is worth persevering with is image it is full of impact.

Great timing on this one. I think it good enough to to try reprocessing to see if you could reduce some of the noise.

    Hi Jerry, Special capture!

I do not see that much noise.

Did you capture this from a hide?
    Regards

    Andre.

Great re-post over here in Avian, Jerry! Looks like you did a bit more saturation on the bird? Well done! I'm seeing a bit of noise, not objectionable... the action is superb!
