    Default 'Gator Glide

From the original, I used Topaz Detail for the alligator and masked the water, then masked the gator and used Topaz/Simplify for the water. I then added Topaz B&W2, Stylized Collection - Quad-tone/Red Scale 2, Multiply 50%.

    Thanks for looking!

Yowzer Cindy. He's coming to get us! Great details and the colours all work together so well.

Great original capture, Cindy, and I like the toning - it adds to the sinister feeling

    Fantastic!!

This is one that could be centered, I think. It would make the gator even more "in your face" -- although he's pretty spectacular as is.

Great combination of sharp details on the gator vs the smooth blue surface of the water. I really get the feeling that one moment the water was smooth and benign. Then the gator quietly rises up and you can see the water as it is disturbed right around the gator's head. Wonderful menacing look! I can see a centered version, as Diane suggests.

Thanks so much for all of the comments, everyone. i appreciate it. Thanks for the idea of trying a more centered image, Diane and Nancy. I just never thought about doing that, don't know why! That's why I love this forum!

I think cropping this tighter and a tad of rotation would look nice for me.

Nice processing. It really brings out the image, but with subtlety.
