    Have tried for years to get a good low view of these birds, but they just love the high perches. I guess being hunted by the Merlins and Hawks makes them this way.

    Really nice capture Joe. Beautiful head angle. Debating on the need for the foliage in the LLC I think if it were mine I would leave it for some balance.

    They like the ground too, but unfortunately they flush out of the tall grass before I even know they are there! Nice view here, and I like the old weathered perch. The image seems a tad dark, and is critical focus on the wingtips?

    Lucky you to be able to photograph these birds. Like your composition and the green in the LL works great to balance it. Head doesn't look tack sharp.

    I like the green foliage as is. I agree about the head being a bit less sharp than the tail. Otherwise nice pose and comp. Richard
