    Default Roseatte Spoonbill

A young Roseatte at Little Estero Lagoon, in Ft Myers FL. I can't say I worked hard for this image, the opportunity just presented itself as I was on my belly (the only way to shoot Little Estero, IMO).

I placed some sand under my frisbee-pod to get just high enough to see the feet and I think it paid off. Staying lower would have moved the horizon a bit, but I think this works well. Thoughts?

Lovely striding pose, Miguel. Beautifully sharp and the BG really gives a nice feel for the location. Looks like it is keeping a wary eye on you.

I like the view of the feet and sharp details.

Nice color palate to this one. Great looking detail, especially in the feet and legs. Even though the horizon is cutting thru the bird, it still looks pretty nice. Well done

Hi Miguel, love the soft light and pastel colours, and you certainly nailed a cool striding pose. The overall detail on the spoonbill is sharp and well exposed, and what a sweet BG. Well captured.

I just love your low angle, the stride, and the colors. A different shot of a roseate, I don't often see images of them walking along, out of the water. Nice work, Miguel.

Really nice spoonbill. Super sharp and with great pose. The low shooting angle really helped.

Nice walking stride, excellent details and perfect exposure. Quick thinking putting sand under your "Frisbee-pod" did help...you had to compromise where the horizon cuts behind the subject, but it was the better choice rather than having the fg obstruct the feet.

A solid Spoonbill shot Miguel, Exposure, sharpness, color. Also a nice view of the legs and feet that are usually hidden by the water.
